For months I browsed all over the place looking for lesson plans. I invariably either found descriptions of what teachers had done or I found links to web sites. The lesson plans would be good but they were usually for elementary classes and they lacked the real good stuff-- the handouts.
Thus, I decided to make some of my own lessons available, but with a difference. My lessons would be complete with a rationale for why I used them, and the handouts and evaluations. Most of my lessons revolved around the fact that I often had huge classes, or they needed a break from boring English classes.
Since I set up the site in 1996, numerous contributors have kindly submitted lessons for inclusion on the site. Obviously, it is these contributions which have made the site so much more than I ever envisioned when I started it, and I have an enduring debt to those kind teachers who volunteered to share their lessons with others around the world.
You will find lessons here for various aspects of teaching English and a few for use in the Library.
